Think Mobile Marketing First!
A few years ago one of my clients and I were thinking about his mobile marketing for his new website strategy. We were launching a brand new site, new design, new back end CMS, new front end, new SEO strategy, and heavy social media integration.
Because of emerging trends in technology we new mobile marketing would be a priority for us in the coming years. Fast forward to today and it looks like we were right!
Back at the time, we developed an awesome Flash site (yes I said a Flash site but remember, this was a few years ago – almost 5 to be exact), a very useful static HTML/PHP site, and we also created a separate mobile site to ensure our full website could be viewed on all platforms and that our mobile marketing strategy was functional and ready.
My point being that we were thinking mobile marketing even 4-5 years ago. To be honest, we were not thinking mobile first. Thinking mobile first is the key for any business with a website, especially local businesses.
