As someone who uses Facebook advertising with several clients and uses Promoted Post Targeting in my social media marketing strategy, I can appreciate this new Facebook Notification for Pages. All Facebook reported today that Facebook will now send notifications to page admins when budgets for promoted posts are used up.
It seems Matteo Gamba of Wimdu shared the screenshot below, saying that clicking on the notification takes page admins directly to the affected posts, with the promote button already selected.
Facebook offers the option for you to adjust your budget anywhere during your campaign. It’s simple to do if you haven’t done so already. Simply find the Promoted Post on your Timeline. You’ll see a button on the bottom saying “Promoted for $xx”, click on that, then click on the pencil icon next to Budget. Use the budget drop-down and select your new budget. The new budget will go into effect immediately. It’s important to make note of the fact that this is a lifetime budget, not a daily budget.
Facebook hasn’t made an official statement, as this is likely a test rolled out to a select few pages. Like everything else Facebook tests, in time all Page admins will be making use of this new feature.
